Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my blog I decided to write this blog to share with you my journey of becoming an online writer I only started out writing about nine weeks ago and I have learnt so much not just about writing but also the SEO side that you don’t really think about when starting out.

So one day I was thinking of ways I could make some extra cash from the internet as I knew it was possible. Once I got past all the scam sites I found an article about revenue sharing sites as I looked into it more it soon came apparent that these where legitimate opportunities the one that got my attention was a site called Hubpage's, as it seemed very professional. For me it was the perfect starting place to breaking into the writing game.

So before starting an article or a hub as they say on Hubpage's I had to find something to write about while reading the forum and asking a few question  I was given the best piece of advice and that was to "Write about what you know" and it's so I decided my first article would be about gadgets. Writing the article felt very natural and as it was something I love my passion showed in the writing style I had chosen. The hardest part for me was to pick a title I went with "Gadgets That Define".

Since writing those articles I have written and finished 13 more for Hubpage's and have six unfinished articles on the backburner to date that I will come back and finish. I knew from what I had learnt that it would be better for me to move on to another site and write so I could interlink them and build up my search engine rankings so I went searching for the next  article site.

Next Step Squidoo

So after some searching and some researching I came across a site called Squidoo it's a great site and has a few ways to make money it's not the same as Hubpage's as you get paid directly from Squidoo and on Hubpage’s you get paid from Google.

Writing for Squidoo is a bit easier as your articles can be shorter. An article on Squidoo is called a "Lens" the key to making money on Squidoo is to keep updating you lens to keep it ranked in the top 80,000. As your Squidoolenses can be shorter than Hubpage's hubs it makes sense to have you main article on Hubpage's and your shorter article on Squidoo then link your Squidoolens to your Hubpage's hub. Remember to always link from Squidoo to Hubpage's but never from Hubpage's to Squidoo (there is a reason for it). So once I had all that done I had to find another way to get traffic to my articles so I decided to try to find a way I could get traffic but also make money while doing it.

This was a good challenge for me and I managed to find too few ways I could achieve it but the one I chose was chosen for a few reasons  the main reason I chose it was because I could link it to my Google account just like I did with Hubpage's.
